WTC Trailer - In English

Blech.

I'm not even going to get into the "is this too soon" debate.

I will however say that this film has 100% too much Nic Cage.

See the English Trailer here, and if the last two title cards don't make you retch, you probably loved Crash.

And if you loved Crash, we can't be friends.

I'm just saying.

if it weren't for the dozen documentaries, the TV movie, the books, and the feature film that is still in theaters.

United 93 worked because it specifically left out all of the character introduction scenes and Hollywood pathos.  This movie looks like it's chock full of 'em!

Which is probably why it will make many times the amount of money that United 93 did.  I think audiences want to sugarcoat the reality of 9/11 through Hollywood's rose-colored lens.  Perhaps the stark "you are there" nature of Greengrass' film is why it didn't bring in the numbers?
