Yes, I am much too young to remember Dallas in it’s heyday, but damn if I don’t love it all the same. I have seen like every episode twice and think it’s down right near the best dang program TV ever offered.
So now we learn from Variety some new casting choices, and I just have to comment. Jennifer Lopez is being courted as Sue Ellen, which I think is fine even if I don’t think JR would be particularly interested in a Latina, but John Travolta as JR? Re. Tard. Ted. I am also appalled at the casting idea of Shirley McClain as Miss Ellie. On the other hand, I think Luke “I’m So Hot I Drip” Wilson is perfect for hapless Bobby. PERFECT.
So now I want to have some fun. Below is my chart for how I would cast Dallas when they call me next week to ask. Because I am sure they will.
