And why is he showing up every where all at once? Empire Online has a total puff piece on the puffy actor. I couldn't glean much from the 1.5 paragraphs EO posted, but I am totally going to elaborate anyway. My goal is to make this reporting of a report longer than the original report. Gawd, it's so short over there, that I probably already did it.
Yeah so Dan Fogler was (or is) a broadway star. I think I saw him on the album cover my dad has* for some reason called The Putnam County Spelling Bee. And if you Google him you will get a lot of images that look like Vincent D'Onofrio gone to seed, but totally younger, and with more hair. And more smiley.
So Fogler is going to be in a host of movies coming up. Some about ping pong (Ball of Fury). One "super-natural laugh-fest" (Spanky Johnson: Monster Hunter). A Todd Phillips movie relationship comedy (School for Scoundrels). And now he's been cast in a Dane Cook movie with Jessica Alba. He plays a sleazy plastic surgeon who is best friends with Cook. And the movie's called something or other.
Just kidding. It's called Good Luck Chuck. And seriously, good luck Mr. Fogler, because no one was really asking for the mutant off spring of Vincent D'Onofrio and Jack Black‡... so, uh, tread lightly.
*It was at this point that I totally ravaged the Empire Online article with all my words.
‡And who asked for them anyway?
