I showed my dad this article about Bill Pullman playing Philip K. Dick in the independent, and fictional, film Panasonic.
The idea isn't clear, so who knows what the plot is about, but what made my dad laugh was that musician Matthew Wilder is directing.
After a few minutes of rooting through the basement, my dad brought up a cassette tape of hits from the 80's, and played me a song called, Break My Stride... by Matthew Wilder.
Ain't nothin' gonna to break my stride
Nobody's gonna slow me down, oh-no
I got to keep on movin'
Nobody's gonna slow me down, oh-no
I got to keep on movin'
Then I started laughing.
Anyone who can write lyrics like that is sure to be able to successfully grapple the complexities of putting the life of Philip K. Dick on screen.
