Director Tim Story's blog has contained a few gems here and there about the upcoming Fantastic Four sequel, Rise of the Surfer (and you thought Attack of the Clones was a dumb title), but in his latest update, he drops this bombshell on us regarding the VFX for the Silver Surfer:
Starting to see a lot of stuff from WETA on Surfer. Bad ass Ladies and Gentlemen. Trust me - digital is the way to go with this. You can't do this stuff for real.
Really Tim? You think?
I almost find it hard to believe that Story actually wrote this himself. It almost sounds like a perfect example of "marketing speak," spoken by someone in the buzz department who has the feeblest grasp of modern digital FX.
Well, at least we can all rest easy that the film is in capable hands.
