The official website for The Prestige, directed by Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, Memento), has launched.
At www.prestige-movie.com, learn more about the friendship between two great magicians – The Great Danton (Hugh Jackman) and The Professor (Christian Bale) – who became fierce rivals and took their battle to escalating heights. Sort of like the extras on the first few Harry Potter DVDs, the site is designed as a sort of puzzle. Via images, downloads, clips, and using a special interactive Journal feature, visitors can search the site for video clues and piece together the missing journal pages to unlock an exclusive clip from the film.
I've poked around it already for a little bit (just a little... I'm supposed to be working LOL!) and it's pretty neat, although, like the Harry Potter DVDs, I suspect most people will lose interest before they unlock the clip.
But maybe that's just me and my need for immediate gratification! At least I will only have to wait until October 20th to see the actual film.
