Gerard Butler has just signed on to play Hillary Swank's dead husband in the saccharinely-titled P.S. I Love You.
Ugh... Who writes this stuff?
Cecelia Ahern, that's who. She's the one to blame. It's her novel that the movie is based on. In the book, a grieving young widow discovers her late husband has left her a list of tasks revealed in 10 monthly messages that are intended to ease her out of grief and transition her to a new life.
Sort of a The Notebook via What Dreams May Come via Asimov's Foundation Trilogy.
Please. Make the pain stop.
What stinks is that I just KNOW all of my girlfriends are going to want to go to this, with the hopes that by doing so, their lousy husbands will become better men. I keep telling them not to hold their breaths. Do like I did... throw the bums out and get your groove back.
I mean really... NO man would do this for his wife... they just don't have it in them. Seriously. It doesn't mean they're bad. It just means they're MEN.
