Stowe and Goldblum to Star in Cancelled Series

You heard it here first... Madeleine Stowe has been signed to star opposite Jeff Goldblum in NBC's midseason replacement series Raines, yet another "crimefighter who talks to dead people" show (Medium's back in November YAY!), which will be cancelled soon after it airs.

Trust me.

Goldblum plays Michael Raines, a brilliant but eccentric cop who solves crimes by talking to dead people, and Stowe plays the psychiatrist he is forced to go see.  Their relationship is described by NBC as a "battle of wits."

Sort of a Medium meets The Sopranos, I guess.  Either way, it won't last long, despite the fact that women like Stowe because she has a deep voice and seems strong, and men like her because she likes to appear nude in her movies.

No, the weak link here is Goldblum, who was once interesting but is now considered by everyone (by which I mean me) to be universally icky.

why dont they make a tv show based on that?
