This week news has been slowly filtering out regarding the cast for Ridley Scott's American Gangster, available HERE and HERE. Here are the actors that American Gangster will offer:

- Chiwetel Ejiofor (Dirty Pretty Things, Inside Man)
- Carla Gugino (Sin City, Spy Kids)
- John Hawkes (Deadwood, as Sol Star)
- Robert C. Kirk (Inside Man)
- Ted Levine (The Silence of the Lambs, as Buffalo Bill)
- John Ortiz (Miami Vice)
- RZA (Ghost Dog)
- T.I.
- Denzel Washington (Malcolm X, Inside Man)
There are so many known names that have been added, they should perhaps retitle this film Sin City 2, or Inside Man 2... ok, silliness aside, Chiwetel Ejiofor is an amazing actor, and I have not seen him do less than superb work in any little role he's had so far. If you have seen Dirty Pretty Things, I think you would probably agree, but if you have not seen Dirty Pretty Things, then go and watch Dirty Pretty Things, and I'm sure you will not regret it.
It's also nice to see Carla Gugino representing women in this male-heavy cast. The film should arrive to cinemas sometime in 2007.
