Those hard-hitting beat reporters at TeenHollywood.com have posted a gripping account about the travails of producing the next Sin City movie. They somehow managed to get the usually tight lipped Rosario Dawson to spill the beans on the movies status. What she had to say is astounding and may not be safe to read if you are Jennifer Aniston. It seems production for the sequel is being delayed because of Angelina Jolie's pregnancy. Her and Brad Pitt have indeed conceived and the existence of the fetus is already making ugly people feel worse about their own lives. Of course ugly people probably deserve it.
I found the first Sin City to be surprisingly good. Never read the comic and I know how much effort was made to insure the movie's faithfulness to Frank Miller's original stories and art. I guess my surprise came from the fact that the stories and visuals are so strong that they succeed without previous knowledge of the graphic novels. The movie was also the first Robert Rodriguez movie I actually finished watching.
In other weird Angelina Jolie news, Yahoo! is running a hysterical story about Michael Douglas and how offended he is by Brad and Angelina. Douglas has turned into a hardline marriage-for-life advocate. He is not only irritated with Brad Pitt for divorcing Jennifer Aniston, but he also lobs verbal grenades at both Renee Zellwegger and Julia Roberts for their aborted relationships. Mysteriously, Douglas had little to say about his own failed marriage DIandra Luker. Their relationship lasted a measley 23 years.
