Hollywood Reporter has some good news for anyone who loves good comedy. No way, I ain't talking about crap like Young Frankenshteen or Cannonball Run. I mean REAL comedy. Comedy like Happy Gilmore ("The price is right, BITCH") or some other movies with Adam Sandler.
All right, I am over working it a bit cause Nina has me pegged as a Sandler-fucker. But that's just because I honestly think that 50 First Dates is one of the sweetest movies I ever did see. Really I don't give a snuff about all the walrus puke and fat-hobbits. I like it because of the very thoughtful relationship between Drew Barrymore and Sandler. I am gettin' all teared up just writing about it. So now on to something that I am sure will make me weep more, but in like TOTALLY different ways.
Sandler's Happy Madison production company has acquired the writes to a story called Jack and Jill by someone you've never heard of. The story concerns two kids who go up a hill to fetch a pail of water. Then one of them--Jack--falls down and cracks his head open real good. Then the same thing happens to Jill! They both die and their dog dies too... of thirst! Because they never got their dog any water.
No really the movie is about fraternal twins, which has Nina convinced that Sandler is going to be playing dual roles as brother and sister. I guess the brainy research librarian didn't remember that fraternal twins are the ones that don't look alike. But thanks for the total random graphic, tech person. My guess? Jill we will be played by someone Sandler seems to have a lot of chemistry with... say that Gertie girl from E.T.
