Paramount's Vantage has bought the rights to Details, a horror film script by Dan Kay based on a short story by British sci-fi and fantasy author China Tom Miévelle.
The script is about a girl who uncovers demonic forces (that only she can see) and suddenly disappears, and her father who desperately tries to find her. I am unfamiliar with the original story, but it sort of sounds like Hellraiser in reverse, doesn't it?
Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions will be producing the film. Amy Israel, Vantage executive VP of production and acquisitions will oversee for the studio. This is a reunion of sorts for the two, who under their own company of Blum Israel produced the HBO movie Hysterical Blindness.
