Okay, as totally in love with Superman Returns as I am (and after having seen it like 6 times now), I can safely say my short attention span is being taxed beyond any reasonably amount. So what new exciting things do I have to look forward to? Yeah Pirates of the Ccaarriibbeeaann is opening this week, but... yawn*
Or maybe we can start hyping SHAZAAM even though it isn't even in production. Yeah, I like Shazaam, but that would not do much for my interest at this early stage.
So what does a 19 year old girl day dream about as she softly glides into slunber's arms each evening... ah here it is:
THOR!
Yeah apparently someone at a whatsit let it be spoiled that THOR is coming to the big screen. So there is no one attached, and no director, and it's all just totally vapor right now, but still. IT'S THOR.
Next to Superman and the Incredible Hulk, Thor has to be the baddest strongest guy out there. He is super strong. And he has this wicky cool hammer that he throws about. And by spinning it over his head he can traverse the infinite dimensions in his quest for justice and peace. Recently, Thor has come in two flavors. First there is the ol' fashioned Son of Odin who crosses the rainbow bridge into Asguard. He started out in the comic world as Donald Blake, a doctor with a limp who could strike his cane to the ground and transform into the God of Thunder himself. He was sent to Earth as Doctor Blake to learn humanity. As Thor he speaks lots of verrilys and thous and stuff.
The other flavor we have of Thor (hmm Thor flavor mmm), Thor has had a prominent member of the Ultimates, which is the Ultimate version of the Avengers, right? In this version, Thor is apparently still the son of Odin, but he's a total peacenik tree hugging commy. AND he had dreamy hair until it was all burned off by Iron Man, I thinks. This Thor speaks like a normal human, and is kind of more relatable to.
Both versions of Thor are cool and all, but I imagine hippy Thor will likely be the goto guy. I have my own secret wish list that I may share with you later, but who do YOU think might play the golden haired hunka?
