Natalie Portman: No for Nudity

The guys at Egotastic are pleased to report that an earlier claim they made, concerning Natalie Portman's nudity in the upcoming Goya's Ghosts (directed by Milos Forman), was false, and that Portman's representative has publicly stated:

It is a Body Double, and the double is in profile and shadow. You see nothing.

It was thought that the scene would have been one in which Portman's character Ines gets tortured and raped for being a heretic. Honestly, I find that Natalie Portman is very pretty but I do not understand all of this attention being made about her getting naked in a film (it nearly happened in Closer). Though she has a very pretty face, she looks like a stick insect otherwise.

Of course the mystique of Portman in general is probably due to two things (besides the obvious reasons):

1) She has been in several modern geek films, beginning her career with Léon, and continuing with Heat, Mars Attacks!, Star Wars Episodes I-III, and  V for Vendetta. There is also the rumor that she would play Harrison Ford's daughter in the next Indiana Jones film (Dark Horizons), but nothing in that regard has been officially confirmed.

2) She took a break in the midst of her acting career in order to finish a degree at Harvard University.

I can't believe so much fuss is being made about whether or not Natalie Portman takes her clothes off in a movie.  Is THIS what our society has come to?  It's like all of those horny fanboys giggling about her nipples poking out under her uniform in Attack of the Clones.  We get COLD, boys... it happens.  You'd think that... aww, who am I trying to kid?  It's hopeless.

Not all of us care about this. I mean, I like to ogle naked women as much as the next horny fanboy, but when it comes to movies I'm more interested in a woman's acting ability. Unless of course I'm watching porn...then it's the other way around. But I digress. That's why I'd rather watch a movie starring Diane Lane than Jessica Alba; one is going to deliver a solid performance, and the other confuses pouty lips with acting. And for the record, I agree...Natalie Portman = body of a 12 year old boy.

I hope the body double has huge boobs... So it's obvious to the audience that it's a double, and somewhat jarring even.

It's kind of been the same deal with Zhang Ziyi who I think, despite having a bit more curve than said 12-year-old look-a-like, is NOT overwhelmingly hot. My advice to those sad types who are worried about when Portman or Ziyi are going to show some skin is stop wasting publicity space on third-rate actresses and find some internet porn.

ok.. i know some jaws just dropped, but everytime i see her i always think of her as Mathilde. haha she is pretty though, but could use a bit more meat in the right places.
