More Unnecessary Scottish Brogue

Whenever I think about the summer of 2001 one thing enters my head.  This memory is so frustrating that sometimes I wish I could cut it out of my head with something sharp.  Yes this is one of those memories that is so bad, I want brain surgery.  At first the memory starts off nice.  It was something new and fun, but then I reached a breaking point.  I remember now.  I was at Drill Team Practice, and it was hot.  We all had to wear these lame kelly green unitards underneath our normal drill outfits.  There are 20 of us out on the field baking in August-in-Texas sloppy wet heat, and then the loud speakers blare:

"HEY NOW YOU'RE AN ALLSTAR GET YOUR GAME ON GO BLAHHHH!"

Yes it was the Summer of Shrek, which I honestly loved.  It's a cute and sweet story even though I still don't understand why Shrek speaks in a Scottish accent.  And I admit, I like the second one also.  But I bet I don't remember what half the jokes were about in a few years.

Well BIG NEWS Shrek fans.  There is going to be another one.  Well that is not the news, because it was announced a while ago that there would not only be a third but also a fourth Shrek film.  Yay!  Anyway the next movie is going to be called Shrek the Third.  Don't wet yourself.

Empire Online also has the details about the plot:  "The third installment has Shrek and Fiona none too happy with ruling Far, Far Away. In order to return to their swamp they must find the heir to the throne and bring him back to the kingdom. While Shrek goes on a quest for the heir, Fiona attempts to hold off a coup d'etat by Prince Charming."

The movie will have the usual cast of characters with the addition of Justin Timberlake as King Arthur, which I guess really spoils the whole movie.
