Meet April Scott.  She's playing Daisy Duke in the upcoming straight-to-dvd prequel to The Dukes of Hazzard (which is being called The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning on imdb), which I first reported on here.

She has very few credits (bit parts on Entourage, The Shield, CSI: Miami and... Deal or no Deal) but she's got two things going for her.

She's brunette (check your Dukes history, Daisy was in fact brunette) and she's not Jessica Simpson.

That's good enough for me.

I'm all for hiring the mentally handicapped, but Jessica Simpson was too much.
