- The season premier of South Park brought Comedy Central a staggering 3.5 Million Viewers.  It's a good show, why is everyone so shocked that people watch it? (Hollywood Reporter)

- Universal Studios is making a new Haunted House film, to be directed by Belgian Director Erik Van Looy. I could make some kind of joke about Belgians and Horror movies, but I'm drawing a blank here.  Are Belgians known for their Horror movies or something? Why is the fact that he's Belgian relevant at all? (Empire Magazine)

- The 25 Million Dollar live-musical adaptation of Lord of the Rings opened last night in Toronto (hey, that's in Canada!) and reviewers didn't like what they saw. Is anyone surprised? Come on, this had "tank" written all over it. (NY Times)
