Earlier I told you about director Paul Schrader's next film, Adam Resurrected, based on novelist Yoram Kaniuk's novel about Adam Stein, once Europe's greatest clown, captured by the Nazis and forced to entertain Holocaust victims on their way to the gas chambers, now a periodically insane alcoholic, clairvoyant swindler residing in some Israeli rehabilitation hospital... heady stuff.

According to Empire Online, Jeff Goldblum has signed on to play the role of Adam.  Goldblum, who was once brilliant, seemed to get much too full of himself after the success of The Fly, Independence Day, and the Jurassic Park films, dropped off the face of the mainstream planet.  Perhaps this role will help to resurrect his career?
