There's an interview over at Bloody-Disgusting.com with Freddy himself, Robert Englund in which he says, "...the rumor I heard is that John McNaughton may be directing the prequel to Nightmare on Elm St."

Now, think about this for a minute.  A movie about Freddy, when he was child-killer... No supernatural elements at all, just creepy old Robert Englund killing kids. Directed by the man who brought us Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.

Man, that gives me the willies.

Sounds kinda awesome.

Sounds REALLY awesome.
