I have to give credit to my friend Sofiane, my source of superhero and cult movie geek information, for sending me the link to the Sci Fi Channel's Pulse web page. Since yesterday, it has been possible to watch the pilot episode of Mike Mignola's (Hellboy) The Amazing Screw-on Head, an animated series that would be based on his one-shot comic of the same name.
You can access the video by clicking right HERE, and I urge everyone with twenty minutes of spare time to watch this wonderful opening episode. Also, listen for Paul Giamatti's voice as the titular character.
The show has a very nice combination of humor, action, and dark elements, and is visually quite beautiful.
I am a little familiar with Mignola's work (but not The Amazing Screw-on Head comic), thanks to Sofiane, and from this first episode, it is quite clear that the animators have miraculously captured Mignola's style.
It seems that it is still unclear whether this series will be accepted into the Sci Fi Channel schedule, and they are taking a survey once you've finished watching, available HERE.
