Byrne Goes for "Treatment"

Back in July, the Movie MILF famously told us about HBO's new half-hour drama In Treatment, from executive producer Mark Wahlberg.  You remember... this was the story where she mentioned Dr. Erecto-Pants and why she hates therapists.

Anyway, we have a casting update from the Hollwood Reporter, which says that Gabriel Byrne has been cast as the therapist, who is the epitome of calm, cool, and collected when dealing with his patients but becomes a neurotic, raging, self-doubter when seeking treatment from his own shrink.

The show has received an initial order of 5 episodes, and budding Australian actress Mia Wasikowska has been cast as a young gymnast undergoing treatment, who hopes to make it to the Olympics someday.

I just love Gabriel Byrne... mostly for 2 reasons... Miller's Crossing, and his role as the priest of the Catholic girls' school on Saturday Night Live in what I think was the first Mary Katherine Gallagher sketch with Molly Shannon.
