The San Diego Comic-Con has begun, and so now we find ourselves in a period where different promotional materials for upcoming geek films begin to emerge.
For me, the most interesting are always the movie trailers, and we can find some very nice ones on the Apple Movie Trailers page in high resolution QuickTime formats.
The first is not entirely new, as it has been reported previously, but the previous trailer for Borat: The Movie was not very high quality. If you have not seen this trailer yet, then I can recommend it strongly, as it is quite funny, and now available in better quality, HERE!
Borat: The Movie will be released on November 3 of this year, in North American cinemas.
Although I suffered brain damage the last time I tried to report on director Michel Gondry's next projects, I admire his films very much, and the trailer for his next film, The Science of Sleep, was posted on the Apple site a few days ago, accessible HERE.

The film is described on the Apple Movie Trailers page as:
A playful romantic fantasy set inside the topsy-turvy brain of Stephane Miroux (Gael Garcia Bernal) an eccentric young man whose dreams constantly invade his waking life.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was one of my favorite films of 2004, and certainly my favorite romantic film of that year. With The Science of Sleep, we can see from the trailer that Michel Gondry is keeping the same flavor, but with more absurdist elements. This trailer is very nicely done, and I am sure that the film will be worth a visit.
The Science of Sleep will be released during the month of September in selected North American cinemas.

It seems that actors Christian Bale and Michael Caine couldn't wait until the Batman Begins sequel before teaming up once more with director Christopher Nolan as they, along with Hugh Jackman and Scarlett Johansson appear in The Prestige.
The story seems to be about two rival magicians whose friendly competition in magic escalates to a conflict when one appears to possess REAL magical powers! It's directed by Christopher Nolan, and from the trailer his crisp and confident filmmaking style is apparent. For me, this is enough to know that I will be looking forward to this picture!
The film will be released to selected North American cinemas in October, so while waiting you will have to be content with the trailer, available HERE.
Yesterday, two new trailers were added to the Apple site, one of which is Alfonso Cuarón's next film, Children of Men, which stars Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Michael Caine, who wins this year's Liam-Neeson-is-in-Every-Movie award!
The story takes place in the year 2027, when it is no longer possible for women to be impregnated. The world is slowly dying of age, and all hope is lost for any future for humanity. When a woman who appears pregnant is discovered, it is up to Clive Owen and friends to try and help her stay pregnant. Ok, the premise doesn't sound too exciting, or even plausible, but the trailer is very nice, especially the second half. Alfonso Cuarón has at least two excellent films on his resumé, so maybe this one has something special as well.
The movie will be released on September 29 in North America, and the trailer can be found HERE.
Finally, a teaser trailer for the computer-animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie also appeared yesterday on the Apple site, and I think geeks all over the world cheered in unison. Though I've heard of the Ninja Turtles before, I don't think I've seen any of the comics/cartoons/movies.
The film will be released in North America on March 30 of 2007, and the teaser trailer doesn't look so bad, as you can see HERE.
