Ellen Langer is a Harvard pschology professor who has studied the illusion of control, decision making, aging and mindfulness theory. She is well-known for an experiment she conducted in which she apparently reversed the aging process of her subjects by making them believe they were younger.
Universal Pictures has picked up Counter Clockwise, a dramady based on Langer's experiment, written by Paul Bernbaum. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the idea is for Jennifer Aniston to produce and star in the film, under her new unnamed production company (the one she started after leaving Plan B to Brad Pitt).
Universal is high on Aniston, since her last film for them, The Break-Up, has grossed over $200 million worldwide. Bernbaum most recently wrote Hollywoodland (read my review here), about the death of TV's Superman, George Reeves.
